First Prize:

K Trio (IS)

The jury:
A sophisticated trio with mature compositions. The trio works with a strong concept and a lot of personality.
They managed to play around the form and stay in context. An extremely dynamic trio.

Soloist Prize:

André Roligheten, saxophone (NO)

The jury has chosen André Roligheten as the best soloist because of his virtuous technique and his dynamic play.
Especially his technique combined with the ability to improvise in very tight arrangements made the choice.
He is disciplined – in control – and plays with an impressive rhythmic and melodic combination. He is a young talent!
